TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Saturday in Tallahassee, Comcast teamed up with Apalachee Tapestry Magnet School of the Arts to “make change happen” and give students a more vibrant place to learn and grow as part of the 17th annual Comcast Cares Day.
More than 500 local Comcast employees, their family and friends and community volunteers worked together on a variety of beautification and improvement projects at the school, including cleaning, pressure washing, landscaping, painting murals, creating butterfly, rock and vegetable gardens, organizing books in the library and more.
This year, volunteers at the school were also be part of a significant milestone of Comcast Cares Day, reaching one million volunteers since the program began in 2001.
