Suwannee County sheriff announces massive drug bust

SUWANNEE COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - The Suwannee County Sheriff's Office has announced a massive drug bust that targeted the open air sale of cocaine in the area of Live Oak known as the North End.

The investigation has been ongoing over the past six months.

On May 14 and 15, the sheriff’s office and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement executed two search warrants as part of that investigation and took six defendants into custody.

Keith Lamar Ford II, 44, of Live Oak, has been charged with possession of cocaine with the intent to sell, sale of cocaine, possession of synthetic cannabinoids with intent to sell possession of cocaine with the intent to sell, and violation of probation.

John C. Ware Jr., 64, of Live Oak, has been charged with possession of cocaine with the intent to sell (6 counts), sale of cocaine (5 counts), sale of cocaine within 1000’ of a specified area

Christopher James Becerra, 22, of Live Oak, has been charged with possession of cocaine with intent to sell (2 counts), sale of cocaine (2 counts)

Colleen Margaret Benson, 22, of Live Oak, has been charged with possession of cocaine with intent to sell and sale of cocaine

Tavarus Kyron Mason, 42, of Live Oak, has been charged with possession of cocaine with the intent to sell and sale of cocaine within 1000’ of a church

Andrew Junior Williams, 58, of Live Oak, has been charged with possession of cannabis with intent to sell, sale of cannabis, possession of synthetic cannabinoid and sale of synthetic cannabinoids

Also, during this investigation, investigators, executed search warrants at three other locations in the past six months, which resulted in the seizure of more than 100 grams of cocaine and the arrest of the following people:

Shamela Rashel Brady, 31, of Live Oak, was arrested on Nov. 2, 2017, and charged with possession of cocaine with intent to sell (3 counts), sale of cocaine (2 counts) and possession of drug paraphernalia

Devin Allen, 35, of Live Oak, was arrested on Dec. 14, 2017, and charged with possession of synthetic cannabinoids with intent to sell and sale of synthetic cannabinoids within 1000’ of a child care facility

Dlwyn Walton Allen, 31, of Live Oak, was arrested on Jan. 18, 2018, and charged with sale of cocaine within 1000’ of a church, possession of cocaine with the intent to sell, sale of cocaine within 1000’ of a child care facility and possession of cocaine with the intent to sell

Brandon Ramone Burley, 32, of Live Oak, was arrested on April 10, 2018, and charged with possession of cocaine with the intent to sell, possession of controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and grand theft of a firearm

This investigation is still ongoing and more arrests are expected.
