TALLAHASSEE, FL. (WTXL) - Tallahassee Police have released the identity of the suspect who lead police on a high speed chase on Friday on Interstate-10.
Eric Travis is arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon with attempt to kill, reckless driving, and battery of an officer.
According to the Leon County Sheriff's Office, traffic was stopped on I-10, after Travis drove east in the westbound lane.
A chase began after Tallahassee Police witnessed Travis driving erratically on Thomasville road.
Officers say, Travis drove in circles, attempting to ram a TPD Cruiser. After crashing his vehicle he fled on foot but was quickly taken in to custody. Travis was treated at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare for injuries he sustained in the crash.
Travis remains in the Leon County Jail.
