VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - More than 700 teachers in south Georgia now have new school supplies as they head back to school in the next few weeks.
Second Harvest Food Bank in Valdosta hosted the Teacher's Harvest event Monday morning.
Teachers from all over southwest Georgia lined up and filled their carts with items such as pencils, binders and backpacks.
Some teachers from Grady County say this event is a huge help for them and their students.
The event wrapped up about 3 p.m. Monday.
