TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Dozens of people from across the Sunshine State showed up at the Florida Department of Corrections to protest for inmates rights for the second time this year.
Protesters were hoping to talk with Secretary Julie Jones, according to them, about the abuse and neglect most inmates face while locked up.
Those include price gouging in the jails and the quality of food.
They are also fighting to keep inmate visitation the same instead of having it change to every other weekend.
Some fear it is one step closer to having inmate visitation end completely.
