THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WTXL) - Residents are invited to come out and volunteer to help one organization serve those in need on Thanksgiving Day.
Project Backyard aims to make a difference in the community by making sure those in need have a meal on Thanksgiving Day.
On Thanksgiving Day, Project Backyard will serve meals at the Thomasville High School Cafeteria.
Organizers say volunteers are needed on Wednesday and Thursday to help prepare and deliver over 1200 hot meals. They also need volunteers to help distribute winter clothes and canned goods to those in Thomasville on Thanksgiving Day.
If you don't have time to volunteer, you can also donate food, coats, blankets, or money.
