Police reveal identities of teens injured in Tallahassee fatal shooting

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Tallahassee Police have identified the teen who was killed and the two teens who were injured in a shooting at the Alliance at 400 Tuesday night.

The Tallahassee Police Department reported that the deadly shooting occurred on 400 Putnam Drive at approximately 8:45 p.m on Tuesday. 

Officers and emergency personnel provided immediate medical attention to the victims, who were then taken to a local hospital. One victim later passed away. 

TPD says the victim who has passed away from his injuries has been identified as 19-year-old Keives Brooks.

Ty’Keith Brooks, 18, and Jamarious Hod, 18, were also identified as being injured in the shooting.     

TPD’s Violent Crimes Unit says they have been working on the case since last night and believe all involved knew each other before the shooting. 

While officers initially had several persons involved in custody, no arrests have been made at this time and the investigation is open and on-going.

The investigator in charge of the case is asking anyone who was at the scene but did not speak with TPD officers to please call  (850) 891-4200. Anyone with information may also call Crime Stoppers at (850) 574-TIPS if they wish to remain anonymous.
