The Tallahassee Police Department is asking the public for help in a fatal hit-and-run accident in February.
On Feb. 9, TPD responded to West Pensacola Street and Cactus Street in response to a hit and run traffic crash involving a vehicle and pedestrian. The pedestrian would later succumb to their injuries.
Since that time investigators with the Traffic Homicide Unit have been working to find both the suspect and the involved vehicle.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Tallahassee Police Department is investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash near West Pensacola Street and Cactus Street.
TPD and emergency responders were called to the scene at about 6:42 p.m. Saturday and immediately provided medical assistance to the injured pedestrian. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital where they later died from their injuries.
Due to the significance of the crash, Traffic Homicide Investigators were called to the scene and assumed the investigation.
West Pensacola Street between Cactus Street and Dupree Street was closed for several hours as officers investigated. West Pensacola Street has since been reopened.
Traffic Homicide Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash, but did not speak with an officer on scene or anyone with information about the accident to called them at 850-891-4200. They may also remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 850-574-TIPS.
TPD says they will provide updates when they become available.
