TAYLOR COUNTY, FL -- One man is dead after a fatal crash in Taylor County Monday evening around 6:20 p.m.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 36-year old Bailey Heard was driving a semi-truck south on US-221 just south of Boyd Road when he left the road and hit a metal guardrail.
Troopers say the semi then flipped and burst into flames.
Heard, of Pavo, Georgia, was pronounced dead on-scene. A passenger suffered minor injuries but is expected to be okay.
