TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- A new store is calling Tallahassee home. Hearth & Soul, an antique and home goods store, has employed 11 full- and part-time workers.

The store's founder Susie Busch-Transou has a long history in Tallahassee, and with the opening of her new store, she is hoping to give back to her community.

Once a month, Hearth & Soul will select a local charity who they believe improves the lives of those in need and makes Tallahassee a better place.

For that month, they will donate the profits from a featured product to the charity.

"Tallahassee is our home, and we have created a space that we hope will be others' home away from home," said Busch-Transou, who spoke to WTXL alongside co-owner Jama Manning. "It's a welcoming environment, filled with many treasures, for every day or for special occasions."

The store will also hold a gathering on their patio each month in honor of the charity.

The Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for the new store Tuesday.
