New Jersey murder suspect believed to be in Georgia

GEORGIA (WTXL) - FBI agents are asking the public for help finding a New Jersey murder suspect believed to be in Georgia.

The FBI Atlanta Field Office, in conjunction with SAC Timothy Gallagher, FBI Newark Division, says they are looking for 48-year-old Dennis M. Cunningham, aka Muhamad. 

They believe he may be in the metro Atlanta area. 

Cunningham is described as being a black male, 6’2”, weighing 215 lbs.  Cunningham has family in the Douglasville, Ga. area but also has ties to the Jessup, Ga. area as well.

They say that on May 12, 2017, the Irvington, New Jersey Police Department was called to a residence with reports of shots having been fired. 

Arriving officers found the victim, Dino Bermudez, 34, on the front porch of that residence conscious but suffering from gunshot wounds to the left thigh. Bermudez was transported to the hospital but later died.

Cunningham has been charged by the State of New Jersey with murder in connection with Bermudez’ death.
