ADEL, GA (WTXL) - In response to recent spikes in crime around the community, multiple law enforcement agencies came together and conducted a sweep that started at 4:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.
The operation lead to the arrest of 11 suspects. They were jailed on charges ranging from violations of probation, to felony drug and weapon charges.
Police said they also seized $7,533 in cash, illegal drugs including marijuana, cocaine, and prescription pills, and a firearm, during the operation.
More than 50 officers comprised of members from the FBI Street Gang Task Force, Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Cook County Sheriff’s Office, Adel Police Department, Sparks Police Department, State of Georgia Probation Office (Department of Community Supervision), AD Probation and The District Attorney’s Office assisted.
