FRANKLIN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Deputies say two women are facing charges after trying to smuggle drugs into the Franklin Correctional Institution.

The Franklin County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to the area of Highway 319 and Highway 98 for a medical call about a woman not breathing.

When they arrived, they found Maquisia Guyton lying on the ground, throwing her hands into the air, and yelling unintelligibly.

The passenger, Keaira Turner, told deputies that while Guyton was driving, she mentioned feeling dizzy and pulled over. Guyton then told Turner to call 911 before she rolled into the ditch and began talking incoherently.

When asked if Guyton had taken any drugs, Turner said she knew that Guyton had taken something, but wasn't sure what it was.

She told deputies that they were coming from visiting inmates at the Franklin Correctional Facility.

A prison drug task officer confirmed to FCSO that both women had been inside the prison for visitation, but said that a K9 alerted them to the presence of drugs near Turner's genital region. Turner was then told to leave.

Guyton was at first allowed to proceed with visitation but was later pulled out for a vehicle search. Nothing was found inside the car.

EMS arrived while deputies were on scene and once they got her onto a gurney, they discovered a small red balloon in her hair. The contents of the balloon later tested positive for cocaine.

Guyton was taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital while Turner was allowed to leave the scene.

As deputies began searching the area, they found a small bag that had busted open between the car and the ditch Guyton was lying in.

They also discovered a grocery bag near where Guyton had been rolling around that contained multiple items.

FCSO says they discovered one condom containing a wrapped green leafy substance, two more wrapped packages containing a green leafy substance, and a small orange balloon hung in a tree with a condom that contained a hard rock-like substance.

Deputies determined the balloons contained crack/cocaine inside. After further investigation, deputies believe the women tried to smuggle the drugs inside the Franklin Correctional Institution via their private parts.

Turner eventually told deputies that she had thrown the plastic bag into the woods once Guyton needed an ambulance.

Turner was arrested while Guyton remains in the hospital. They say Guyton has seven warrants out for her arrest.
