THOMASVILLE, GA (WTXL) - A Thomasville woman was arrested Thursday for debit card fraud after she used a man's card to buy clothing online. When deputies tracked her down, they found her hiding in an oven.
Desma Ka’Shay Brown made four fraudulent purchases on a Thomasville man's debit card, according to the Thomasville Police Department.
Deputies first heard about the case earlier this month, when the man started noticing charges on his card that he did not make. The four charges were all made in September, according to the police.
On Thursday, deputies found Brown in her apartment. Police say they opened up the oven door and found Brown, who is five feet and five inches tall, hiding in the oven. According to the police, she had been hiding there for about five minutes, but was covered in sweat.
