TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - North Florida and south Georgia are expected to experience winter weather in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
In response to that, some schools are closing or delaying start times.

FLORIDA
Leon County Schools
- CLOSED Wednesday; after-school activities cancelled; employees not to report to work unless contacted by supervisor; Community Action Head Start Centers in Leon County also CLOSED Wednesday
Maclay School (Tallahassee)
- CLOSED Wednesday; after-school activities cancelled
Annsworth Academy (Tallahassee)
- CLOSED Wednesday
Gadsden County Schools
- CLOSED Wednesday; Community Action Head Start Centers in Gadsden County also CLOSED Wednesday
Robert F. Munroe Day School (Quincy)
- CLOSED Wednesday
Jefferson County Schools
- CLOSED Wednesday; Community Action Head Start Centers in Jefferson County also closed Wednesday.
Hamilton County Schools
- CLOSED Wednesday; reopens Thursday
Florida A&M University
- Main campus, Crestview and Jacksonville campuses CLOSED Wednesday
Florida State University
- Main campus CLOSED Wednesday until 5 p.m.; employees serving in essential roles may have to work -- additional info here.

- CLOSED Wednesday; reopens Thursday -- additional info here.
GEORGIA
Tift County Schools
- CLOSED for students Wednesday; all staff to report from noon to 4 p.m., though planned work hours may be changed pending arrival of hazardous conditions
Colquitt County Schools
- CLOSED for students Wednesday; staff asked to report at 10:30 a.m., if conditions permit.
Echols County Schools
- faculty in-service day Wednesday CANCELLED; faculty and students report Thursday
Calhoun County Schools
- Pataula Charter Academy will be closed Wednesday.
Mitchell County Schools System/Baconton Community Charter School
- CLOSED for MCSS students and all BCCS students, faculty and staff; MCSS faculty and staff to report at 9 a.m.; both reopen Thursday
Wiregrass Georgia Technical College
