SUWANNEE COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL)--A Lake City woman is accused of tying a dog to mailbox, and leaving it to die in the summer heat.
Suwannee County deputies say it happened at Angela Shingledecker's home in Lake City. According to the report, the dog named "Tookie" was tied up in direct sunlight on a hot day with temperatures at 92 degrees.
It happened August 2. Deputies say the dog did not have water or shade.
