TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL/WFTS) - Florida Governor Rick Scott has filed a lawsuit against two Florida counties for "rampant fraud" in the ballot counting process.

Scott said in a statement at the Florida Governor's Mansion in Tallahassee on Thursday that he will be suing the Broward and Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections.

Scott stated that 15,000 new votes were found in Palm Beach County, that had not been accounted for and in Broward County, 78,840 additional election votes have been counted since polls closed.

“Every Floridian should be concerned there may be rampant fraud happening in both Broward and Palm Beach counties,” Scott said.

Scott is also asking the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to investigate.

In a statement, Bill Nelson's Spokesperson Dan McLaughlin said:

“The goal here is to see that all the votes in Florida are counted and counted accurately. Rick Scott’s action appears to be politically motivated and borne out of desperation.”
