TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- A Leon County jury has spoken returning a guilty verdict for a doctor.
He's guilty as charged. That's the verdict handed down to Adam Frasch. The Thomasville doctor who prosecutors say killed his wife Samira in 2014. Her body was found in their pool in Golden Eagle.
Prosecutors are happy. The defense is disappointed.
Adam Frasch was taken away in handcuffs Thursday afternoon. This after he put his head down as the verdict was read.
It was emotional for some members in the courtroom.
Trial lasted four days. The jury deliberating for 90 minutes.
The prosecution says Frasch hit Samira in the head and then finished her off by throwing her in the pool.
Frasch's attorney says his client isn't guilty, and that the time of death is important which isn't clear.
"She wasn't in the pool for more than an hour even two hours, three hours my client was in Panama City," said Clyde Taylor, Frasch's attorney.
He says he left Golden Eagle at 8 a.m. on February 22.
"The power struggle was ongoing between them," said prosecutor Georgia Cappleman. "I think tides had turn. She had custody of the children. He made it look like an accident."
Adam Frasch did not testify during the trial.
His attorney says they plan to appeal. the judge said in court they have 30 days to do so. We will keep you updated.

Samira Frasch was found dead at her home on February 22, 2014.

After a hour and a half of deliberation the first degree verdict was reached and Adam Frasch was sentenced to life in prison.
