MEIGS, Ga. (WTXL) - The former mayor of Meigs has been found guilty of credit card fraud and violation of oath of office.

Linda Harris is charged with three counts of credit card fraud, plus violation of oath of office.

According to officials, the Meigs City Council voted against hosting a Christmas party in 2015.

But, they say, Harris took the city's credit card to buy supplies, and held the party anyway.

The state attorney's office says she made three transactions, worth $138.

Harris was voted out of office during a recall election.

Her trial is expected to wrap up later today.
