TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Tallahassee Police Department has arrested five people in connection to an undercover prostitution operation.

On Monday, TPD Special Investigations Section conducted an operation targeting 'Johns' and individuals engaging in street level prostitution.

The operation involved undercover investigators posing as both roles to make contact with people already suspected of being involved in prostitution related activity.

TPD says the operation was conducted within the Tallahassee city limits.

The operation led to the arrest of five people:

  • Tegra Miller, 52, of Tallahassee, Fla. -- Charged with prostitution (2nd subsequent offense) and narcotic possession 
  • Andrea Vickers, 55, of Quincy, Fla. -- Charged with a sex offense for soliciting prostitution (1st offense)
  • Tamika Ward, 40, of Tallahassee, Fla. -- Charged with a sex offense for soliciting prostitution (2nd subsequent offense)
  • Crystal Hunter, 49, of Tallahassee, Fla. -- Charged with prostitution (3rd subsequent offense) and narcotic possession 
  • Paula Brown, 49, of Tallahassee, Fla. -- Charged with prostitution (3rd subsequent offense) 

According to multiple arrest reports, undercover officers were able to get the suspects to agree to exchanging money for sexual acts, three of them admitting to being involved in prostitution activity. 

Of those arrested, three were taken into custody on West Brevard Street. All five were transported to the Leon County Jail.
