Gadsden County, Fl (WTXL) -- An early morning accident leaves driver, Ricky Whittington, dead after impact with a tree.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the 1986 Toyota pickup truck was driving North on Lakeview Point Road and did not stop or slowdown at the intersection with McCall Bridge Road.
Investigators say the truck drove off the road into the North shoulder where it hit a wooden fence. The vehicle continued northbound through a field and crashed into a tree.
Ricky Whittington, age 33, was pronounced dead at 7:10 a.m. at the scene of the crash.
The time of the crash is still under investigation.
