TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Some Florida A&M University students will head to Ghana Monday night for a new exchange program.
The college of pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences kicked off the first "Advanced Pharmacy Experience" Monday morning.
It's a partnership with students from Ghana studying in the field.
The exchange program focuses on "health equity" in under-served African-American communities, and will teach Ghanian students about the American health system, health disparities and inequities.
Students from FAMU and Ghana will spend four-weeks in each others' countries through this exchange program.
