TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Families in Franklin County are rebuilding after the Limerock Wildfire destroyed more than 800 acres of land almost three weeks ago.

WTXL ABC's Jada Williams was live Friday morning with details on the latest efforts to offer help to those families.

Red Hills Powersports in Tallahassee is working to feed the families in Eastpoint with their Canned Food Drive.

The company says they were inspired by the gracious outpouring of love with other businesses and people donating items such as clothing and household goods, but saw a lack of food donations.

Red Hills is working alongside the Southern Crusiers Riding Club Forgotten Coast to collect non-perishable food items to help out the local food pantry in town tasked with feeding the families.

Members of the SCRC will be delivering the food items Saturday, but it is not too late to donate.

You can take non perishable items such as canned or dry beans, canned vegetables, oil, canned meats, rice, and shelf stable milk to Red Hills Powersports. In Tallahassee, they are located at 1110 Capital Circle NorthEast.

They will also stay in town for the day to offer and help and support that the community may need.
