TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- Wednesday is the National Day of Action, aimed at putting an end to police brutality.
The Dream Defenders, Tallahassee Stop the Violence and community members will be rallying outside of the Tallahassee Police Department Wednesday evening.
This comes after TPD launched an internal investigation into the tasing of 62-year-old Viola Young.
The officer involved, Terry Mahan, has been put on leave while officials look into whether or not his use of force was justified.
The rally will take place at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, October 22 outside Tallahassee Police Headquarters on Seventh Street.
