GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Police said they have ended their investigation into the death malnourished 17-year-old boy after they arrested his mother's boyfriend and his sister.
The Gadsden County Sheriff's Office said that Michael Butler, the boyfriend of the boy's mother, and Christina Harris, who is the boy's sister, were arrested and charged with aggravated child neglect and negligent manslaughter for the death of Javontez Tyrie Thomas.
Prior to their arrests, they arrested Thomas' mother last Tuesday, the same day that deputies found Thomas dead, with his body weighing only 45 pounds.
Deputies said that they were all booked into the Gadsden County Jail with a bond amount set at $225,000 each.
