TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A group of Leon County students on Friday got to enjoy a talk and performance by a very inspirational performer.
Mandy Harvey who is deaf, rose to fame following her performance on America's Got Talent.
At FSU on Friday, as a part of Opening Nights Mandy sang and educated students about following their dream.
The Director of Opening Nights said the students learned a lot from this experience.
"They are going to gain insight in how they too can strive for their own dreams. How they can reach the goals that they have set for themselves," said Michael Blachly. "They can use Mandy as a idol and as a model that shows what you can do when you really put your mind to accomplishing and achieving what you want."
For the children with hearing impairments there was a sign language interpreter relying the words of Many's singing.
