FRANKLIN COUNTY, FL -- A Franklin County couple is behind bars after investigators say a stranger found their 2-year old child alone on a busy street.
Franklin County deputies say the child’s father Steven Shiver and his wife Stormy were no where to be found when they got a call from the good Samaritan who found the first child Saturday. After investigating further, deputies say they found a second child, an infant, crawling the floors of the couple’s trailer.
Authorities say they eventually found Stormy sleeping in a building behind that trailer. Steven was found driving with a suspended license.
Deputies say this is all the result of meth use and is not the first time the 2-year old was found wandering the streets of Franklin County.
Children and Families has been notified. The couple now faces child neglect charges.
