UPDATE: Authorities are looking into whether the body belongs to missing Florida State University student, Jorge Altuna, who is from Boca Raton. This is according to The Sun Sentinel.
Earlier this week, the 23 year old was reported missing. Deputies say his family was concerned for his safety.
TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - The Tallahassee Police Department says a body was found in a pond on Thanksgiving.
Officer say a passerby stopped an officer patrolling in the area near the Carter, Strong & Howell Park in downtown Tallahassee.
TPD says emergency services were called to help remove the body from the water and that the Leon County Sheriff's Office is taking over the investigation.
Police say it is not known if this is a homicide or a natural death at this time. Once the body is recovered from the pond, officials will work to find the identity.
