Tallahassee Man Arrested and Charged with Animal Cruelty

TALLAHASSEE Fla.-- Officers from the Tallahassee Police Department have arrested a man after authorities say he neglected his animals. 

Officers say, when they arrived at the residence of Christopher Wright on March 30, on Columbia Drive, they were overwhelmed by the small of feces and ammonia.

The officers were advised that there were two dogs inside the apartment. 

The odors in the home were toxic, according to officials, with high ammonia levels an dog feces covering the floors.

According to reports, the dogs recovered were about 6 to 7 months old and both appeared to be emaciated and dehydrated.

Tallahassee Police say the dogs were taken to the City of Tallahassee Animal Shelter after Wright completed owner surrender paperwork for both of them. 

Wright faces two counts of animal cruelty.
